The Caverns Annual Toy Drive Brings Joy to Grundy County Kids

Press release posted by Tiffany Sebourn

The Caverns’ Annual Toy Drive has once again helped bring holiday cheer to children across Grundy County, continuing a longstanding tradition of community support in partnership with the Pelham Valley Fire Department.

Throughout November and December, concertgoers and cave tour guests donated new, unwrapped toys, helping ensure local families had gifts to place under the tree this holiday season. All donations were distributed by the Pelham Valley Fire Department to children and families throughout the county.

In addition to guest contributions, The Caverns donated $500 to the Toy Drive, with staff members participating in a toy shopping effort in December.

“This effort comes together through a lot of small contributions,” said Christy Sherrer, House Customer Care & Community Outreach Manager at The Caverns. “Guest donations and staff participation both play an important role in making the Toy Drive work.”

Joel McGuire, Property & Parking Manager at The Caverns, added, “Working with the Pelham Valley Fire Department helps ensure those donations get where they’re needed most, and we appreciate their continued partnership in serving families across the county.”

The Caverns thanks everyone who participated this year and the Pelham Valley Fire Department for helping coordinate the distribution of toys throughout Grundy County.
