Tennessee law enforcement is required to post sobriety checkpoints in advance to make them legal. The location, time, and other details must be publicly announced through local news media, traffic apps, or the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security website to comply with the law and prevent them from being deemed unconstitutional.
