Prater is a critical care paramedic with Coffee County EMS. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“Tim Prater is not only a Critical Care Paramedic. He’s also a father, a husband, a brother, and a friend to all. When chaos happens, he’s the calm in the storm—both in the back of an ambulance and at home with his family and farm. He holds a high standard of professionalism, and his ability to provide outstanding patient care to all of his patients is remarkable. Tim is never afraid to learn something new, teach others, and mentor fellow providers, whether they are new to the field or experienced professionals.”

Weaver is a sergeant at the Tullahoma Police Department. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“Sergeant Zach Weaver is a dedicated law enforcement professional with a strong foundation in military service. He demonstrates leadership by example, integrity, and commitment to his community. Zach excels in high-pressure environments and works efficiently with neighboring agencies and other first responder disciplines. He is always striving for advanced training opportunities, specialized certifications, and professional development courses. His eagerness to learn, adaptability, and commitment to continuous self-improvement have contributed to his success in both his military and law enforcement careers.
“As a Field Training Officer and Sergeant, Zach has served as a mentor to fellow officers, displaying an unwavering commitment to helping others grow professionally. In his role as a Firearms Instructor, he consistently delivers expert knowledge, adapts his teaching methods to different skill levels, and helps improve the safety of both officers and the community. His strong moral character and compassionate approach to service make him an outstanding example of dedication to both country and community.”

Spry is a driver with the Manchester Fire Department and a firefighter with the New Union Volunteer Fire Department. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“I am honored to nominate Brandon Spry for this recognition. Brandon has dedicated the past 10-plus years to serving his community through his work as a Driver with the Manchester Fire Department and as a firefighter with the New Union Volunteer Fire Department. Brandon consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty. Whether responding to emergencies, assisting community members in need, or supporting his fellow firefighters, he demonstrates an unwavering commitment to public service.
“One of Brandon’s greatest strengths is his passion for training and mentoring firefighters. He invests countless hours helping others develop their skills, build confidence, and strive for excellence in the fire service. His leadership and guidance have helped shape the next generation of firefighters, ensuring they are prepared to serve their communities safely and effectively.
“Brandon leads by example through his professionalism, integrity, and work ethic. He is respected by his peers, trusted by his community, and admired for his willingness to put others before himself. His selfless service, commitment to firefighter development, and dedication to protecting the public make him truly deserving of this honor.”

Ward is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and Correctional Officer. Here’s what the person who nominated him had to say:
“I nominate Mark Ward for Hometown Hero. Mark was born and raised in Tullahoma, graduated from Tullahoma High School, and went straight into the United States Marine Corps to serve his country. His motto was to fight for people who did not have a voice. After proudly serving four years in the Marines, Mark continued his commitment to helping others by becoming a correctional officer.
“Mark is a wonderful young man who believes in his hometown and the people who live here and in the surrounding communities. His dedication to service, both in the military and in his current profession, reflects his strong character and desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. He is someone who genuinely cares about people and continues to serve with pride and purpose every day.”
