Lt. Chris Cook for being recognized as the Program Facilitator of the Year by the Tennessee Corrections Institute (TCI). The award was presented at the TCI Programs Summit in Franklin.
The Bedford County Sherriff’s Department made the announcement in a Facebook post:
Lt. Cook has worked diligently in building and overseeing our inmate programs for the jail. Due to his hard work, dedication to improving lives, and “outside the box” thinking the past few years, the Bedford County Jail has quickly become a model for other jails implementing inmate programs.
We also want to thank our staff and the many community volunteers who make our programs possible. We especially want to thank the program participants who have worked even harder to change their lives.
Lt. Cook will quickly say that these are the people who deserve an award, but we know that he is the engine that drives our programs. Lt. Cook, we already knew you were the best, but we are happy to see you recognized as such. Congratulations!
