Bedford County Mayor Chad Graham was awarded two honors during the Bedford County Veterans Day Parade opening ceremonies on Saturday, Nov. 8.
State Representative and Speaker Pro Tem Pat Marsh announced that Graham, a U.S. Army veteran, had been named a ceremonial aide-de-camp to the Tennessee’s governor, an honor available only to military veterans and law enforcement.
Commander Tommie Boleyn of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5019 presented Graham a Medal of Commendation. The medal is awarded to veterans who make a significant contribution to their community after their military service.

The parade’s opening ceremonies featured retired Col. Mike Corrado of the United States Marine Corps as keynote speaker. The parade itself featured performances from Cascade, Community, and Shelbyville Central high schools.
